Attendance

There is no call-out fee. Charging starts when we arrive at the address, not when you ring and not when we set off. If we attend and cannot help you, there is nothing to pay.

How we charge

All work is charged at our hourly rate from arrival, at the same rate at any hour of any day. There is no out-of-hours, weekend or bank holiday premium.

We do not give fixed quotations. Drainage work is too unpredictable to price accurately before it has been seen, and we would rather charge for the hours a job actually takes than quote a figure that has to change. The rate is fixed. The number of hours depends on what we find.

Where a job turns out to be more extensive than it first appeared, we tell you what we have found and where that leaves you before carrying on.

Insurance and guarantee

Fully insured. Any remedial work we carry out is guaranteed for two years from completion.

What we cannot promise

We give honest estimates of arrival times and we keep to them wherever we can, but they are estimates. Traffic and the job in front of yours are real things.

Clearing a blockage is not a guarantee against it recurring, particularly where the underlying cause is a defect in the pipework rather than the blockage itself. Some drains cannot be cleared at all: a collapsed run is a repair, not a blockage, and the hourly rate applies to the time spent either way.
